This website is built so that simply reading it generates as little data as possible.
Controller
When you are simply reading
Displaying a page sets no cookies and loads no third-party resources. Fonts, images, stylesheets and scripts sit on the same server as the page itself. There are no advertising networks, no social media embeds and no analytics scripts in the browser.
As with any web server, technical connection data arise: the shortened internet address of the requesting device, the date and time, the address called up, the status code, the volume of data transferred, the referring page and the browser identifier. These data serve operation, security and troubleshooting. They are not merged with other data sources.
Newsletter
This section concerns only people who subscribe, and only the email address they give on that occasion. Reading the site involves none of these uses.
By ticking the subscription box, you agree that your address may be used for the newsletter and for advertising communications in equine health, animal health and nutrition, aimed at the Swiss market, including retargeting: the address may be passed on in hashed, non-reversible form to advertising platforms in order to build audiences or to exclude people from them. Those platforms may process the data outside Switzerland, under appropriate contractual safeguards. The address is never sold.
No health status is collected, inferred or used for this targeting, neither yours nor your animals'. Addresses are kept on the publisher's server, outside the web root, until you unsubscribe. You may withdraw your consent at any time, through the unsubscribe link or on request: this ends all these uses and deletes the address.
Push notifications and advertising
This section concerns only people who expressly accept notifications. Reading this site triggers none of it, and without acceptance no script from our partner is loaded. The legal basis is your consent under article 6 paragraph 6 of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection; for people in the European Economic Area, article 6(1)(a) GDPR also applies.
If you accept in the panel and then grant your browser's permission, a push subscription is stored on your device. It contains no email address and no name: it consists of a technical identifier, the browser and the operating system. These are passed to Adrenalead SAS (France), which operates the Notifadz platform.
Through that subscription you will receive two kinds of message: ours, when a new synthesis appears, and advertising messages from Adrenalead, on average five to eight a day. We do not choose their content, we do not review it beforehand, and it is not a recommendation from us. For that advertising, Adrenalead is the controller.
No health status is collected, inferred or used for this targeting, neither yours nor your animals'. You may withdraw at any time, without giving a reason and as easily as you gave it: in your browser settings, under « notifications », remove the permission granted to this site. The subscription ends at once.

Processors and transfer abroad
The website is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, USA): page hosting, worldwide delivery network, the security check on the subscription form, and storage of the newsletter addresses. The forwarding service for the editorial address also runs through Cloudflare. Processing takes place on servers worldwide, therefore also outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area, on the basis of the standard contractual clauses and Cloudflare's data processing agreement. Any further provider will be named here as soon as it is used. As soon as you accept notifications, Adrenalead SAS (France) is added, which operates Notifadz; for the advertising served it is itself the controller.
Your rights
Under the revised Federal Act on Data Protection you have the right to information about the data concerning you, to the rectification of incorrect data, to erasure, to object to processing, and to the release or transfer of your data. You may withdraw a consent you have given at any time, without the processing carried out up to that point becoming unlawful.
To do so, contact the controller. You may also turn to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner. Where processing is additionally subject to European law, you hold the corresponding rights vis-à-vis the competent supervisory authority.
Security
Transmission is encrypted. Access to editorial tools is restricted to authorised people and protected by a second layer of security. Forms are safeguarded against automated submissions; the means used for that process no data beyond what is needed to fend off abuse.
